Economics
Overview
In addition to really sweet games and experiences, there are several economic components in the platform. From various player-ownable coins and collections, to revenue pools allocated for specific purposes, SoulSeed has a robust Economics plan to both help it be sustainable, drive Sui Network growth, and support the Sui ecosystem and players directly with revenue.
Item Trade and Marketplaces
SoulSeed will use Animalabs' launch platform for certain collections, and Tradeport for a Marketplace. For peer to peer trading, we will be relying on the upcoming P2P Swap tool from Dead Skull Society.
Portfolio Management
Pawtato is our tool of choice for portfolio management, coin swaps, and more. It will be integrated in the platform wherever possible.
Treasury Management
SoulSeed's treasury is split up into pools which are managed independently. Revenue in SoulSeed comes from a few different sources:
Member pass mints and trade royalties
Hero Stat Upgrades
In-Game Item Purchases
Paid Tournaments
Treasury is distributed back to players, Creators, team, and operational costs. Some of those details are below.
The Hoard
A portion of revenue generated by the platform goes into the Hoard.
The Hoard is a cumulative pool of Sui coins and collectibles, which grows as players join tournaments, upgrade Heroes and buy items. Some games on the platform generate Hoard Shares, which accumulate in the Player's account. When it becomes time for a Treasure Distribution, a randomized portion of the Horde is allocated for distribution. Each Hoard Share, which is a tradeable object, entitles the player to a random "scoop" of that treasure.
The contents of those treasure scoops are random, and can consist of any of the assets which have been places in the Hoard since the inception of SoulSeed. This could be coins which have gone up (or down) in value, collectible NFTs from popular collections, or $SUI itself.
Ecosystem Support
A portion of revenue generated by the platform goes into Ecosystem Support on the Sui Network
SoulSeed openly integrates many different coins and collectible projects into games on the platform. This is of great benefit to those projects as they gain additional value and utility, making things a lot more fun, interesting, and rewarding. In addition to those obvious benefits, part of our commitment to the Sui Network community is to support those projects through direct support. To that effect, the Support pool is used to directly purchase assets from those projects. Once assets have been purchased, they could be responsibly traded, helping to produce volume, or added to the Hoard for later distribution.
Distributions will occur regularly as certain thresholds are met based on Revenue and Support Pool size. These will typically be done by community voting, or by the team directly. This could be weekly, daily, or even several times a day.
When a votable Distribution is coming, SoulSeed members who hold an Arcade Pass can vote on how the Support Pool is used (for the week, for the day, etc). This creates a decentralized mechanic in which the SoulSeed community can directly work together to support specific projects. There are different types of votes and distributions, some Arcade Pass holders will be eligible for all types, some will only be eligible to vote in a few, depending on the type of Pass they hold.
Smog the Destroyer

Smog is a Dragon. He has a tremendous natural interest in what goes on with the Hoard, and guards it carefully. Sometimes he even eats some coins! When that happens, the asset is burned forever, gently increasing the projects value through deflationary pressure. As a Memecoin Villain, he also gives Heroes a hard time, motivating his minions to make their adventures in different games even more challengine.
Sustainable Growth
In addition to growing via platform revenue as noted above, SoulSeed makes use of the wonderful variety of DeFi projects available on the Sui Network. These tools are used to effectively manage the Treasury and provide an additional source of sustainable revenue and growth. This includes, but is not limited to:
BlueFin perps, vault (pools)
QuantFin and Spot trading via Pumpkin bots
Aftermath Finance Perps and pools
Tugboat.FI for joinable ecosystem funds
We will use these excellent DefFi tools on Sui to put the Hoard to work and grow it through principles of risk management. When SoulSeed wins, everyone wins.
