Item Effects

Each item can have one or more effects. Sometimes an item will have no effects, because you just intend for them to hold it or use it. An example of that is a quest item. On the other hand, it can have several effects which activate when the user wears it or uses it.

Item Effects Generator

To add an effect, click on the Add Effect button. You choose the target of the effect, the Type that it does, and its relative value: Tiny, Small, Normal, etc. This scalable system of effect ranges ensures that your item could be used in most types of games with no coding required.

When you're done, there is a summary which will show the overall effect of your item, and how it will appear to a user in the Store Cart.

The game developer or SoulSeed Admin may need to approve the item for sale first, to make sure it aligns with content standards and fits into the theme of the game. They have a simple interface to do that with.

Item Approval in SoulSeed

If the Game Designer needs to get in touch with you for item approval feedback, they will leave a comment on your notes using our secure Private Chat feature. You can then make any changes necessary.

An item can be approved for sale on/off or according to a schedule. This can help create scarcity/rarity in the item shop for the game, as you may want to have Limited Time items.

When the item is approved for sale, it becomes available in the game. When someone purchases it, you receive a revenue split for it, based on your Creator Level and any item-based bonuses you receive from Arcana Cores you own.

You may want some of those items to be tradable on a Marketplace. If that's the case, then you may need to create a Collection first, or the item can be added to a game's collection.

Items for sale show up in the Item Shop for each game.
